The Wedding Process

1.  Contact Me
Please contact me to check whether I am available for your chosen ceremony date & time.

Once booked, I will take you through the entire process so that you understand the forms you need to fill out, what documents you need to bring, and arrange a time to meet face-to-face.

2.  Forms & Documentation
Before meeting in person, you will need to:
  • Fill out the Notice Of Intended Marriage (NOIM) at least 1 month prior to your wedding.
  • Bring original copies of your birth certificate or passport.
  • If either of you have been married before, you will need to show me the official divorce certificate;  or the original death certificate.

Please Note: All documents need to be in English or have an official translation in English.

3.  Our First Meeting
I will schedule in a time that best suits you. This meeting will allow us to get to know each other, and design your own wedding ceremony.

It will be a chance for us to discuss ceremony ideas and get an understanding of the style of the ceremony that you are looking for. I will also explain the legal aspects and process of getting married.

Please bring with you all documentation discussed in Step 2 above, as well as the deposit.

4.  Draft Wedding Ceremony
After our face-to-face meeting,  I will then write up & email you a draft script of your ceremony vows & readings, based on what was discussed.

Please read the script carefully.

We can also review it together, and make small changes, until it fits best with you.

During this step, you will have unlimited consultations with me by either email or phone.

5.  Wedding Day
I arrive at your ceremony location at least 20mins in advance.

We will go over any leftover paperwork with you, and attend to anything that needs doing to make your ceremony go as smoothly as possible.

Please ensure there are two people over the age of 18 years at the ceremony. They will serve as witnesses to sign the wedding register

After the ceremony, I will send the appropriate documents to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.

6.  Marriage Certificate
To obtain your official registered marriage certificate, please order it from the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.

Note:  This step can only be done by you.    However, the process is very straight forward and fast.
